The War’s Still On!!
As I slide down the banister of life, nicotine has been an ongoing splinter in my ass for approximately 25 years now, until 101 days ago! Yesterday, Sept. 1, 2010 I celebrated my 100th day quit with a great steak dinner and a six-pack of Southpaw beer, but today the war is still on! Although I know I have reached the first major milestone, I also know the bitch will be lurking around every corner for a lifetime. Thanks to all my September 2010 KTC brothers and our Supporters who really helped me, motivated me, and pressured me, in a good way, to stay quit! Also a quick shout out to the manufacturers of Smokey Mountain and Big Red chewing gum, which gave me something constructive to put in my mouth to satisfy my oral cravings. It feels GREAT guys!! I don’t think it’s really hit me yet, that I’ve made to The Hall Of Fame. Just another glorious day of good ol’ quit going over here. However, it does feel like I’m giving an Emmy Award winning speech, emotional I mean! Anybody that really, really wants to quit can do this, although some days, even now are a bitch. See, we are all creatures of habit– then you add in the oral motor stimulation, and the fucking addictive property of Nicene, and it ain’t an easy road to travel, but the Rewards are Great; I promise you that! Not only am I healthier, I’m wealthier. Calculated at $3.00 a can, a day, for 25 years or 9125 days is $27,375 dollars contributed to the fucking tobacco growers of America. I could have bought a new car or paid off my house! Shit! That’s Crazy! Choo, Choo, Choo! Keep The Train Rolling Guys….
