A Word or Two From KTC’s Cowgirl, Hall of Fame and Support
A word or two from your own Cowgirl…….. My Hall of Fame speech should be simple & straight forward – just like me.
Hitting 100 days was especially hard from me. I don’t claim to be a special butterfly but being in a bi-polar depression and quitting, it was just about at 100 days that nearly killed me literally. By God’s grace and the brotherhood of this site, today I am proud to say I’ve hit my third floor. So if I can do, I know you can do it.
It doesn’t matter who you are, what you are, or what you’ve done in the past. Actually it just might. This makes you who you are and you my friend just may be the person with the experience I need in my darkest hour. And for that matter, I may have gone thru all that I did just so that I can help another quitter who is fighting those same demons. All are welcome here who are fighting this war and for that I am grateful. I know without a doubt someone will be there to pick me up when I am on my knees and help hold me up till I can do it on my own again. – AND THEY WILL DO IT FOR YOU TOO. I WILL DO IT FOR YOU.
Be prepared to grow, to mature, and to change thru this process. You will not be the same person you are at day 1. It’s not just the nicotine either, this site will make you face shit you don’t want to, will make you grow up and grow a pair, and even evolve into a better more caring person. There is something about the brotherhood that just can’t be explained.
Find your quitters – the ones who you’ve bonded with for one reason or another. Listen to them and their advice – they’ve seen it all. They are your rocks, your anchors and will carry you when needed. Take true to heart the song “Lean On Me” because KTC was designed with that principal and that principal works. This is a simple process, an extremely difficult simple process – one that never again has to be faced alone.
“Lean On Me”
Bill Withers
Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there’s always tomorrow
Lean on me when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need somebody to lean on
Please, swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won’t let show
You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’ll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need somebody to lean on
You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’ll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
If there is a load
You have to bear that you can’t carry
I’m right up the road, I’ll share your load
If you just call me
