Words of Wisdom
Closing In On a Year
It’s hard to believe we are heading down the home stretch for a first whole year of quit in a long time. It seems that a few of us have been in a little funk lately. I’m pretty sure with mine that it would still be there with or without dip. It probably would be worse with dip because I wouldn’t have the things that I’ve gained since quitting.
Since I quit…..
- Mondays still suck
- Some days still suck even worse than Monday’s
- The same people still suck
- Traffic still sucks
- Politicians still suck
- My job often sucks
- My wife sucks even less
- Neighborhood dogs still shit in my yard
- Stuff still breaks when it’s most inconvenient
- My family is still nuttier than a squirrel turd
However….
- I no longer need that crutch to get through life’s problems
- I have greatly increased my self confidence
- The nic bitch no longer rules my day, my time, my priorities, my wallet
- Food tastes better
- I sleep way better
- I look forward to getting stroked by the dental hygenist because I was a good boy
- I still have my jaw
- I have gained great friends I’ve never even met
It shouldn’t be too hard to do. Think about what you have really gained by quitting last year. Be thankful and let it cheer you up as it has me.
