DWEIRICK – My Final Quit

Hello my name is Dustin and I’m a retread…. I earned that title a few months ago on a painful night I really thought I’d never have to face. A few months ago my life was in shambles and I nearly took my own life. I don’t need to air the details that led to where I ended up, but what I do need to let people know is that this place works no matter what you’re facing. I chose to abandon this place because I was like an injured animal and I was lashing out. I turned my back on the people who trusted me and would’ve helped me no matter what. It’s been a rough road rebuilding my life and I still have days where the fog gets thick, but my willingness to push through and live is stronger then any fog I will face. I caved because I was weak and not fully committed to living a life nicotine free. I refuse to be tied down to a plant any longer and I will continue my fight until I’m no longer on this earth.

I have a lot of people to thank who even after I let them down still had my back and pushed me back here, because without this place there is no way I stay clean. I can’t thank all of you enough and I’m not going to single people out on here all of you stood in my corner and are still standing there and you know who you are!.

July: We will face many battles and tests on our road to freedom, but I can assure you if you stay connected here you will never face these things alone. Thank you for your support and I look forward to a long future with all of you!
