Golfing Without Chew – It CAN Be Done
This past weekend was Father’s Day and I continued a tradition of playing golf with my dad and brother. I managed to get off the first tee successfully and as I walked down the fairway I realized that I hadn’t even thought about dip. For years I couldn’t put a swing on a golf ball without first loading up with some Kodiak. Now here I was, on a beautiful day, with a drive right down the middle and it hadn’t even crossed my mind. That felt pretty damn good.
I certainly didn’t get here overnight but it was totally worth all the hard work that it took to get here. QUIT is a great place to be. It’s a Father’s Day present that I intend on giving myself every year from here on out.
PS – I only hit 5 fairways the rest of the day 😉
Wow! I played 30 holes with my son on fathers day…never once thought about a dip. It can be done. When I first quit, I didn’t think I could play golf and not think about dipping. But, I proved Sunday that it can be done. I used to use seeds to help…don’t even use those anymore.
BTW – my son and I were tied after 27 holes (I doubled the 27th) so we had to play the extra holes….I birdied 28 to beat his 15 year old butt!
I hope to do this every year as well!
Thanks for the great story!
