Jake’s CBD Citrus Pouches Review

Jake's CBD Citrus Pouches 4Back today on a Sunday Funday (which happens to also be SuperBowl Sunday) with an exciting new product review from our friends at Jake’s Mint Chew – Jake’s CBD Citrus Pouches! I’ve been saying it for years that I really appreciate the fact the the folks at Jake’s don’t rest on their laurels. The continue to develop their product line, release additional flavors and constantly listen to their customers.

Back in April we brought you the news that Jake’s was releasing their CBD pouches and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to review them here today (I’ve also got some CBD Mint Pouches which will be reviewed at a later date).

Jake’s Mint Chew – CBD Citrus Pouches

I have to start off by saying this. I’m not a pot guy. Have never been a pot guy and most likely will never be a pot guy. That being said, if you are anti-pot or anti-CBD please… don NOT let those feelings taint this product line for you. Quite simply… they’re really, really good.

As I’m growing older I’m more and more in tune with my body. In doing a ton of research and reading I’m learning that inflammation is really what we’re trying to combat. Enter CBD which has anti-inflammatory properties. I’ve heard from quite a few folks that have used Jake’s CBD Pouches with great results when it comes to inflammation, back and knee pain, etc. I can’t speak to that personally but I will say that I’m going to start using these on a regular basis to see if I can knock out some aches and pains. I’ll update this post (or add another) with any results I find.

I ran across this article from Healthline which talks about the benefits and uses of CBD oils. I won’t go into all of them but here’s a couple that jumped out to me:

  • Pain relief
  • Reduction in anxiety and depression
  • Heart health

Here’s another great article about the benefits: Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil Benefits: 17 Experts Comment

OK… enough about CBD… how are these for folks that are quitting chewing tobacco? In a word, they’re great. The pouches are nice and moist and produce a fair amount of saliva. There’s a nice sweet citrus smell as soon as you pop open the can and that translates nicely into a great flavor. These remind me of Jake’s Kola from back in the day if you remember that product.

I will say that the flavor here didn’t last quite as long as I’d like. Maybe 15-20 minutes vs. most Jake’s products that last 30-45 minutes. I hear from the folks at Jake’s that they’re working on this. What I will say is that if you’re a fan of citrus flavoring you should give this one a try.

As with all Jake’s products I really appreciate the ‘use by date’ sticker on the bottom. I did find this particular product interesting in that it suggested to use ONE pouch. I typically use two or three pouches when I’m doing my trials… this time I used just one. Didn’t want to overdo it with the CBD.

The bottom of the can says this:

250 mg Broad Spectrum CBD
15 Pouches Per Tin
Dosing Instructions: Place one Pouch Between the Cheek and Gums
Swallow the Juices and Enjoy
Must be 21 & Older To Consume

As you can imagine these products (that contain CBD) are going to cost a bit more than your typical fake chew. Jake’s CBD Citrus Pouches are $14.99 per tin or you can get a 3-tin package for $39.99 which is pretty typical from what I can find on the web. If you’ve been curious as to the benefits of CBD this may be a easy and affordable way to dip your toe into the CBD pool.

As a daily CBD user it’s convenient being able to “microdose” by having a little CBD in each packet.

My old routine one CBD tincture drops in the morning and also at night does not satisfy me throughout the day like adding the patches have done. Thanks!

Yeah, the CBD chew is cheap! Get real, that’s super expensive. A little over a dallor per pouch. Ok, what justifies $14.99 per can? 15-20 minutes of flavor and it’s over. I think this is just a company taking advantage of the miracle CBD oil. The cost of making this doesn’t justify screwing people over. CHEAP? PLEASE!!
