Jake’s Mint Chew – Cinnamon Pouches

I’ll start off by saying I’m not a huge fan of cinnamon. When it comes to my dipping days (or now my alternative choices) I tend to be a guy that gravitates toward the traditional chew flavors (wintergreen, mint, etc.) as I was a Kodiak Wintergreen guy or the super “tasty” flavors that you don’t typically get in chews (such as grape, cherry, etc.)

Jake's Mint Chew - Cinnamon Pouches in CanThat being said, I was a bit skeptical when I popped this one in but that quickly went out the window. I’m still not a huge fan of cinnamon as a flavor but these pouches are outstanding. Outstanding smell upon opening the can and you could tell at first glance that the moisture issues that were present with the first version of their pouches has been addressed – these are MOIST.

And boy do they pack a punch! Wow. You know right away that you’ve got a cinnamon pouch in and the juices start flowing righty away. There’s plenty of spiciness in here to be certain. In fact when I first popped a couple of pouches in (I always use two) I was really taken aback at just how intense the flavor was. Well done.

It’s not necessary but if you want to spit there’s plenty of saliva produced. As with the other Jake’s Mint Chew Pouch products these hold up well. I kept my pouches in for a good 20 – 30 minutes with minimal flavor loss. If you’re a fan of cinnamon or are looking for a pouch with a kick give these a try.

just a question when looking at the ingredients: is their any REAL cinnamon in this, or is the flavor some kind of “natural” cheap imitation produced by some yeast bacteria?
