Jake’s Mint Chew Lemonade Pouches Review
If you’ve been following KillTheCan for any length of time you know the folks from Jake’s Mint Chew just keeps… on… delivering when it comes to new flavors. If you go back through the archives here you’ll see that time after time they continue to innovate and continue to produce new flavors. Many of their flavors are the ONLY one of their kind in the alternative market and I believe that they’ve done it again with the product I’m reviewing: Jake’s Mint Chew Lemonade!
As I get close to the 15 year point in my quit I’m pretty much a pouch guy almost exclusively at this point, primarily due to ease of cleanup. Just like with all Jake’s products in the past these produce more than enough saliva if you WANT to spit but you don’t need to.
I can’t say these are my absolute favorite of the Jake’s lineup but they’re really quite good. I’ll be honest when I say I haven’t had a drop of legit lemonade since I was a kid so this isn’t really my thing, but if you’re looking for a ‘refreshing’ pouch product you’ll really enjoy this. As I normally do, I test using TWO pouches which seems about right to me. For context I used to get about six dips out of a can of Kodiak.
When opening the can (plastic with a pretty solid lid for those that care) you really get the LEMON smell. I’m not sure how I differentiate between lemon and lemonade. When we’re talking flavor these really reminded me of mix between Jake’s CBD Citrus and Jake’s Kola. The pouches themselves are SOAKED with flavor (see photo below).
As I said, not my personal wheelhouse from a flavor perspective but I could see how someone would really like them. Long lasting flavor, a ton of dark brown spit produced and even though it’s a mint product it doesn’t have an overwhelming minty flavor (until possibly the very end of the chew). This is a nice alternative that I’d categorize as ‘refreshing’ if a fake dip pouch can be such a thing. Get yourself some and set up a lemonade stand this summer!
