Killing The Can For 18 Years

18 years ago KillTheCan.org was ‘born’. Today, November 20th, 2024, KillTheCan.org recognizes 18 years of helping people break the bonds of their nicotine addiction! KTC IS OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE!

As we’ve done every year since our inception, we’ll be having a one-day-only, site wide roll call on November 20th to help commemorate the day.

The celebration will take place right here on the site – in the comment section of THIS VERY POST!

KillTheCan.org has gone through some pretty significant changes over the past several years. It’s been three years now since we migrated the majority of our support and discussion to our DISCORD SERVER.

With the benefit of hindsight I can confidently say it has been a MASSIVE success. We have seen more engagement and brotherhood than we had seen in years on the forums. Every new quit group since January 2022 has been EXCLUSIVELY on our Discord server.

That being said, our forums are far from gone. You will still find daily discussion and roll call there just like you always have. Our social media platforms (Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / YouTube / TikTok) continue to experience huge growth and engagement all thanks to you. We even added a Rumble channel this past year!  If you’re quitting dip, there’s support around every coroner. You just have to look for it and you’ll find KillTheCan.org.

A word about social media… there was a time when I was hesitant to embrace it. There was a time when I really tried to force any and all traffic and conversation to the forums. And while that served us well for years, it’s just not the way things are in 2024. So… we’ve had to be where quitters are looking for us. That’s our mission. Provide support for people looking to quit dipping and quit nicotine. As the digital landscape changes, so will we.

If you’re NOT a member… consider joining us. The accountability that we provide will kick start or reinvigorate your quit for years to come. There are a lot of people that look to quit dipping cold turkey over the holidays.
