KillTheCan.org Hits 16,000 Members!
Once again, I have the opportunity (and honor) of announcing another huge milestone for KillTheCan.org. Last week, our quitter support forums hit a huge milestone when member jkobler411 signed up and become our 16,000th registered member!
And while we didn’t get there in less than a 100 day HOF cycle like we did at the 15,000 member mark, it’s simply amazing to me that in just over 100 days 1,000 new members joined our ranks. In just over 3 years we’ve added over 10,000 members!!! Talk about hitting the quit jackpot!
Here’s a look back at our recent growth on the forums:
- 16,000 members – 7.28.2013 – 110 days to go from 15,000 to 16,000

I snapped this picture and put it on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts to recognize the occasion. Speaking of milestones, our Facebook page recently passed the 2,000 fan mark and we just gained our 1,000th follower on Twitter. Social media’s here to stay and KillTheCan.org will be there to provide quit support on those networks as well.
Want some more numbers? How about 2.1 million? That’s the number of posts currently on the forums. Don’t take my word for it. There’s 16,000 members who totally “get it” cause we’ve all been there before. You can do this… and we can help. You’re not alone in your fight to quit.
Just like at the 15,000 mark, I’d like to offer my thanks to everyone who’s joined us so far and especially to the staff for making KillTheCan.org the incredible place that it is. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
P.S. It’s taken me a while to get this posted due to some site reconstruction. We’re already 100 members toward our next 1,000!!!
I’m so glad your blog is helping so many people quit smoking. My father was a smoker and I know how difficult it is to quit without support.
