No Better Time Than Now – Res17cue’s HOF
Well, I made it. One day at a time, scratching and clawing through the first few days, and it seems like I blinked and here I am. 103 days ago I made the conscious decision to give up nicotine. Best decision I’ve ever made. I was a slave for far too long. And now I can laugh at my prior master’s face and shoot him the bird. I am no longer owned by a substance that solely exists to kill me. I was paying to kill myself. Let that sink in. Every time you stop at the QT and pick up a can of your favorite worm dirt, you are literally paying to kill yourself slowly and painfully. If you are on the fence about quitting and you stumble upon my speech, I urge you, sack up, take a nice long deep breath, and flush your stash and quit with us. You’ll be glad you did.
A very special thank you goes out to my Brothers in September 2014. We made it and no one can take that away. Also to Smeds for always helping my quit by either a text or a “wake up and post roll” message. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Proud to quit, proud to hit the HOF, and I’ll be proud when I hit the next 100 taking it ODAAT. QLF Gents.
