Schmitty’s – Herbal Snuff and Herbal Pouches
Back in 2018 I reviewed (and raved about) Schmitty’s Herbal Snuff. Back again today with a new product review as they’ve rolled out some additional product offerings. And just as before, they’ve nailed it.
That first review covered Schmitty’s traditional products as that’s all they had available at the time. Well, they’ve expanded thier product offerings to include pouches and ENERGY pouches as well!
Their tagline, “All Good Snuff. No Bad Stuff” is catchy and tells you right up front what you’re getting. No Tobacco. No Nicotine. Tastes Like The Real Thing.
Schmitty’s offers the “Big Three” when it comes to smokeless tobacco flavors: Wintergreen, Mint and Original. All flavors are 100% tobacco and nicotine free and are available for purchase on their website in single cans or a 5-can roll. They also offer a subscription service.
Schmitty’s Herbal Snuff
The traditional / long cut products remain consistent from my original review. They pack great and hold together really well. I love the fact that the flavors have stayed consistent since my first review – they did a great job then and they’re sticking with it. I do think this batch is a bit moister than they were in 2018 which is a good thing. As I said in my original review, “If you’re a fan of the “Big Three” traditional tobacco flavors give Schmitty’s Snuff a try. They’re targeting the outdoorsman who dips and they’ve hit their mark big time!”

Schmitty’s Herbal Pouches
DEEP dark color on these pouches when opening. Darker than any pouch that I think recall and they really are moist coming out of the can. Long lasting with more than enough saliva produced for all three flavors. Flavors are consistent with their long cut products – Mint similar to Skoal Spearmint, Wintergreen similar to a sweeter Kodiak and Original somewhere between Skoal Straight and Skoal Classic.
Schmitty’s Herbal Energy Pouches
From a flavor perspective I’m not picking up any real difference between the traditional pouches and the energy pouches. According to Schmitty’s, “Each pouch has the caffeine equivalent to a serving of an energy drink.”
If you’re susceptible to the ‘jitters’ you may want to be careful when it comes to these energy pouches. Remember, nicotine cuts the effects of caffeine in your body so if you’re suddenly nicotine free the caffeine is going to hit you that much more.
Ingredients include: a blend of Caffeine, CoQ10 and Taurine for an added boost of energy.

Schmitty’s Herbal Snuff and Pouches – Recommendation
Schmitty’s continues to be a welcome addition to the smokeless alternative market. The packing has been upgraded since my original review with high quality plastic cans that won’t crack when you sit on them and allow you to pack the long cut products super tight. All cans have a ‘best used by’ date on the bottom which I really appreciate. Flavor profiles are unique which isn’t a bad thing. They’re close enough to what you’re looking for to be familiar and different enough to set themselves apart from other alternative brands.
Schmitty’s has some awesome products that I’d absolutely recommend. They’re targeting the outdoorsman who dips and they do a ton of work supporting our veterans as well!
