Smoke Just a Little Bit? It’ll Still Kill You
Are you the kind of person that just smokes “every once in a while” or “just when you drink”? According to a recent study there is NO safe level of exposure to tobacco smoke.
According to the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, researchers say, “While people who smoke between one and 10 cigarettes a day have an 87% higher risk of earlier death compared to those who’ve never smoked, people who average less than one cigarette a day still have a 64% higher risk of earlier death than those who never smoke.”
What’s that mean? The study’s lead author said, “The results of this study support health warnings that there is no safe level of exposure to tobacco smoke.”
