An Update To Holt Tobacco Free Herbal Snuff – 4.16.2014
I’m a big fan of innovation. Just because something is working doesn’t necessarily mean it’s as good as it’s going to get. The makers of Holt Tobacco Free Herbal Snuff apparently believe the same thing as they’ve released an update to their Peppermint all herbal snuff. – Read full review
Holt Tobaccoless Chew Review – 8.26.2011
One of the threads we have on the forums is all about Smokeless Alternatives. We talk about which ones we like, which ones we don’t like, where to get them, etc. During a recent discussion someone mentioned an alternative that I hadn’t tried before so I figured I’d remedy that situation. – Read full review

Ordered just 1 tin, but they actually sent me a full roll of 5 tins, so that was nice. Consistency reminds me a lot of Hooch snuff, so for you Copenhagen Snuff users, this could be right up your alley. They only have one flavor in Peppermint, but it wasn’t as strong as I had hoped. Pack and feel felt legit, I would definitely dip this again. Not a bad brand of fake to check out if curious.
This is like chewing wet moldy grass, do not buy this product. The other thing is when I tried to return un- used cans they refused to take them back.
I love this stuff. It’s my favorite fake snuff. I like that I can swallow it and don’t have any desire to spit it out and I don’t get heartburn. On top of that, alfalfa is very good for you.
I got a can of Holt in the mail today, $8 with S & H, which yes, is absurd. But I really wanted to try this stuff. Opened the can and it was only about 65% full, which was an immediate turn off. I smelled it & it had a smell close to Elicit, which was awful IMHO. It’s paid for, so I popped some in my lip. I was pleasantly surprised, had a little tingle to it & it tasted OK. After 15 or so minutes, ot began to float around and I started spitting out chunks as I spit. Seemed messy and after 30 mins or so, I was done, too much work keeping it in place. Overall, it was OK, better than some of the brands I’ve tried. If it was free, I’d probably use it on occasion. Since it’s not, I’ll stick with SMC.
Dave,
I had been chewing Copenhagen/ Skoal since I was 10. I am now 46. 2 years ago I had to have hip replacement surgery and was told that nicotine is a hindrance for proper healing. So after several years of trying to quit and 1 successful surgery, I tried your Holt chew. 2 years later I am happy to tell you that I am no longer addicted to chewing and only occasionally have the need to have something between check and gum.
For that I am truly grateful. Your product really works.
Thank You,
Joe D Whitehall MT
Innovation IS a great thing, however… not in this case! Still the same taste just now enhanced by the cayenne pepper. Still not a fan!
